Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath lab Location: Anchorage, AK Facility: Acute Hospital Job Type (Per Diem/Travel Contract): Travel contract Hourly Pay Rate: $72.83 Shift: 40 hours, Day shift Duration: 13 weeks contract Experience Required: 2 years License Required: CA state license Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS Skills Required: Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Prepare patients for procedures by completing assessments, reviewing medical histories, obtaining informed consent, and providing education. Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty (PCI), stent placement, peripheral vascular interventions, and other cardiovascular procedures. Administer medications, including moderate sedation, in accordance with facility policies and state regulations. Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient responses throughout procedures. Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic instability. Recover and monitor patients following procedures, providing discharge instructions when appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Participate in required on-call rotation and respond to emergency STEMI activations as needed. Maintain compliance with infection prevention, radiation safety, and quality standards.
