Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse - Child and Family Health Nurse
DEPARTMENT: Integrated Care
OPERATIONAL BASE: Randwick Parenting Centre
STATUS: 3 months with possibility of extension
Part Time 24 hours per week (Fixed Contract)

PURPOSE

Karitane staff provide safe, effective, quality care consistent with the organisation’s mission, philosophy, values and standards of care, and adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct.
Professional practice must reflect adherence to agreed professional standards. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of clinical services to families in centre or virtually via a telehealth platform.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: (Each criteria below must be addressed in your cover letter)
1. NSW Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
2. Recognised post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health or equivalent experience (Minimum 2 years).
3. Ability to demonstrate group facilitation skills and working in partnership with families.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues both verbal and written
6. Understanding of the principles of secondary health care in the context of Child and Family Health Nursing
7. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation: Respect, Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence.
8. Demonstrated computer skills including the use of online databases such as EMR and Microsoft 365
9. Current drivers licence recognised in NSW
