Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse in Child and Family Health to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to children aged 0–5 years and their families. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based, client-centred nursing services that support optimal health, growth and wellbeing. This role involves assessment, early intervention, referral, health promotion and education, all delivered through a strengths-based family partnership approach aligned with the principles of Primary Health Care.

Responsibilities
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centered, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and priorities work.
  • Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
