Overview Registered Nurse – Clinic Specialty: Infusion Center UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Primary Location: Methodist Infusion Center (may float to Lutheran Infusion Center) Shifts Available Full-Time Days: 32-40hr/week Part-Time Days:16+hr/week Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time RN: $5,000, paid over one year Join our outpatient Infusion Center team, where you'll deliver skilled, compassionate care to patients receiving infusion therapy. You’ll also increase your skill set to provide care for a large range of outpatients including: GI, Neuro, Hem/Onc, Infectious Disease, Transplant, and many more. As part of a collaborative clinical team of 20-30 colleagues, you'll support patients and families throughout their treatment journey. Responsibilities Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Successfully functions as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act. Provides nursing care for patients and families and maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UPHDM within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Qualifications Education: Current Iowa license to practice as a Registered Nurse Bachelors degree preferred Experience: 6 months of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency Chemotherapy infusion experience preferred License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire Successfully complete department specific certifications within one year of hire date Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English Multicultural sensitivity Microsoft Office – basic computer skills Customer/patient focused Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position
