Your future role at a glance Location: Chicago, IL Facility: Ascension Saint Joseph Department: Emergency Department Schedule: Night shift | Full-time Salary range: $48.35-68.26 per hour How you'll make an impact in this role Coordinate daily unit staffing, plan shifts, and develop population-appropriate patient care assignments using independent judgment to maintain strict productivity standards and manage variances. Direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, providing vital input into hiring, training, professional development, and performance evaluations. Set immediate shift priorities based on changing patient and physician dynamics, ensuring the continuous availability of critical materials, resources, and clinical supplies. Serve as the leadership point of contact on the floor, proactively resolving patient care complaints, managing clinical objectives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency care. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
