The Role
We are currently seeking dynamic, confident, experienced professional for the position of Registered Nurse, Intensive Care/Coronary Care. This 20-bed unit encompasses Adult Neurosurgery, including Cerebrovascular / General Neurosurgery / Spinal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Head and Neck Surgery and General Surgery. We also receive acute neurosurgical admissions from hospitals throughout the state as a recognised centre of excellence.
As an experienced practitioner, you will display drive and enthusiasm for the delivery of expert clinical care within ICU/CCU. You will demonstrate a commitment to actively participate in and facilitate ongoing learning and development as well as a commitment to mentoring and the support of an inclusive nurturing work environment.

To Apply
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in an Adult Intensive Care or Coronary Care area environment
- Be able to work unsupervised within ICU/CCU to an advanced
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organisational skills
- Well-developed computer skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MQ Word, Excel and web-based research
- Demonstrated ability in assessing, planning and implementing preventative care approaches to health care
- Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative and work independently and within a team
Role Specific Conditions
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- MQ Health Immunisation Screening
- Valid Working with Children Check
