Nura ambulatory surgery centers is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to provide care for patients receiving procedural treatments and surgeries at our Edina facility. Duties of this position will include: Utilize the nursing process and skills in accordance with departmental and company policies and procedures. Monitor and manage patient flow from admission to discharge. Start IVs and administer conscious sedation. Monitor patients during procedures. Recover patients in the PACU. Provide educational materials and explanations. Potential to learn the circulator role in the OR. Manage and triage patients with pre- and post- procedural and surgical phone calls. Function as a team member within our facilities to complete necessary duties in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Requirements Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Previous pain management experience preferred. Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management, and visitors. Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, and outside reps. Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems. Evidence of leadership and the ability to contribute to a positive team-focused environment. License & Certifications Current MN registration as a Registered Nurse. BLS and ACLS certified or obtain certification within three months of employment.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients receiving procedural treatments and surgeries, monitoring and managing patient flow from admission to discharge. Responsibilities also include starting IVs, administering conscious sedation, and recovering patients in the PACU.
