Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join our Day Surgery Ward at Subiaco on a casual basis. Our Ward is a 46-bed combined DOSA and Day Surgery Unit providing preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients in a wide range of surgical specialities. These include Cardiology, Orthopaedic, ENT, Vascular, Gynaecology, Plastics and General Surgery. As a member of our Day Surgery team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures while ensuring that their experience aligns with the values that define our hospital. Your role will include patient assessment, preoperative education and post-surgical care with a focus on fostering a supportive and safe environment for all patients. The Position Deliver outstanding patient care in the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide optimal outcomes for patients. Be a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights are upheld and their voices are heard. Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment for patients and their families. Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Assist in managing patient flow and provide pre and post-operative care. You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Previous experience in perioperative nursing or in a surgical/critical care environment is preferred but not essential. To succeed you will have excellent communication skills with a genuine passion for providing exceptional care to patients. You will have a proactive and compassionate approach to care with an ability to work effectively within a team.
