WHO ARE YOU?

We are seeking experienced nurses who share our passion for excellent dementia care and can demonstrate professionalism and energy in the home.

We are looking for somebody who:

  • Has a valid NMC PIN
  • Has previous experience of working with the elderly / dementia
  • Is conversant with the NMC Code
  • Is a competent computer user
  • Is a good communicator, written and verbally
  • Has previous experience of leading a small team of care staff
Responsibilities

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

Brendoncare are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our care home in Otterbourne, Hampshire.

The spacious site near Chandler’s Ford in Hampshire offers three interconnected services:

  • Otterbourne Court: A care home providing personalised nursing and dementia care, as well as planned and emergency respite support.
  • Otterbourne Mews: Dementia-friendly apartments for couples or individuals living with dementia.
  • Otterbourne Club: A community hub where residents and local people can enjoy a range of facilities, activities and social opportunities.

Your key responsibilities as a RGN with us will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the Named Nurse for a group of residents
  • Updating and contributing to care plans
  • Organising and supervising the work of the Care Team
  • Assisting in the induction and orientation of new members of the Care Team
  • Acting as a mentor and undertake teaching of carers and student
