Curriculum Specialist, Nursing Graduate Program

Primary Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the College of Nursing Graduate Programs’ Review.
Nature of Work: The Curriculum Specialist will work with the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, the Graduate Chair, the Nurse Practitioner Program Academic Lead, and the members of the Graduate Programs Team. The Curriculum Specialist will report to the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
- Work closely with the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, the Graduate Chair, the Nurse Practitioner Program Academic Lead, the members of the Graduate Programs Team, and the Graduate Curriculum Review Workgroup.
- Support the review of existing graduate courses and the development of new graduate courses while monitoring College of Graduate Studies and University Council deadlines. Monitor progress and deliverables.
- Along with the members of the Graduate Team, support the Indigenization of the graduate programs.
- Work closely and consult with members of the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning Excellence.
- Keep detailed records on the revised graduate curriculum, monitor progress, and deliverables such as updated graduate pathways, update graduate courses, and new graduate courses.
- In conjunction with the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies develop agenda items and actively participate in meetings with the Graduate Programs Team, the members of the Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Committee, and the Graduate Curriculum Review Workgroup.
- Provide follow-up documentation for post-meetings.
- Support graduate faculty members in updating or developing new graduate courses.
