Health care will be provided to individuals in a manner which is normalizing, sensitive to their needs and respectful of their dignity, while encouraging autonomy. The registered nurse functions as a health resource to staff and will, in addition to other duties; Assure that the home is in compliance with all licensure requirements. Assure organizational policies regarding health issues, medical care and records. Provide oversight to ensure documentation, health/clinical assessments, and billing are in compliance with Medicaid regulations. Provide health care supports on an as needed basis. Supervise medication administration of non-licensed staff in residential home support settings and day programs. Qualifications What Makes You a Great Fit: Must hold a current Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana. Must possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record, which allows candidate to be covered by agency insurance policy. Prior education and/or experience working with the developmentally disabled or other long-term care or home health care experience is preferred. Mature, flexible, self-motivated, dependable and able to work cooperatively with individuals, staff, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies.
