Job Responsibilities: * Patient Assessment & Care: Perform rapid, accurate assessments, initiate treatment, and manage care for critically ill or injured patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center. * Triage: Prioritize incoming patients based on the urgency of their needs. * Intervention: Administer medications, manage intravenous lines, and assist with procedures such as intubations and sutures. * Collaboration: Work alongside emergency physicians, technicians, and specialists to develop and implement care strategies. * Communication: Provide clear, effective communication with patient families, emergency staff, and support teams. * Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of vitals, patient history, and treatment in electronic health records.    Qualifications: * Experience: Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience is highly preferred. * Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Virginia license or compact state license. * Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred. * Skills: Strong critical thinking, stress management, and emotional resilience in high-stakes situations.    About Sentara Norfolk General Hospital: * Region's first Magnet Hospital. * Home to the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center. * Features a Lantern Award-winning Emergency Department, recognizing exceptional leadership, practice, and education.  Equal Opportunity Employer: ATC Healthcare Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
