Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Location: Various locations in New Brunswick
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Schedule: Rotating shifts (8- and 12-hour shifts)
Language Requirement: Bilingual: English and French
We are in search of multiple Registered Nurses (RN) with experience in Emergency medicine to join a department that will assess, triage, and treat individuals experiencing acute illnesses or injuries, often in high-pressure and fast-paced environments. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients, administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure timely interventions.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Brunswick Nurses Association.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Emergency nursing experience within the past five years.
  • Courses obtained or willing to obtain within a set timeframe:
  • Cardiac arrhythmia course;
  • Critical care certificate (emergency care) or equivalent
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certificate
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate
  • Non-violent Crisis intervention certificate
  • Triage course (CTAS)
Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Triage and assess patient conditions upon arrival
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient status
  • Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical teams
