Safety Sensitive Job Summary: Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established philosophy. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Effectively interact with patients, families, & visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Provides physical and psychological support to patients. Qualifications/Requirements: Must be a graduate of a school of nursing with current LPN or RN license by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Current BLS Certification. Current TB test. Must pass WRMC Medication/Dosage Calculations Exam and IV Therapy Exam. Maintains annual unit specific competencies and education fair. Adheres to White River Health System's Standard of Behaviors. ASC ENDOSCOPY MON-FRI 0630-1500 OUTPATIENT ON X5 ON CALL SHIFT PER MONTH FOR INPATIENT CARE NEEDS. AUTONOMY TO CHANGE DAYS WITH CO-WORKERS. HOURS ARE FLUID AND STAFF WOULD NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE WITH TIME. SOME DAYS ARE HEAVY VOLUME AND OTHERS ARE NOT. MAY BE EXPECTED TO LEAVE EARLY OR STAY LATE DEPENDING ON PATIENT CARE NEEDS. RN WILL BE TRAINED FOR PREOP AND POST OP CARE OF ENDOSCOPY, ORTHOPEDIC, AND UROLOGY OUT PATITENT PROCEDURES: PREOP ASSESSMENT, VS, IV START, MEDICATION RECONCILIATION. POST OP PHASE 1, PHASE 2 CARE. RN WILL BE TRAINED AS ENDOSCOPY PROCEDURE TECH PERFORMING PROCEDURES, INSTRUMENT/SCOPE REPROCESSING, AND PROCEDURE RN CIRCULATOR. WE ARE A FAST-PACED DEPARTMENT. WE WORK WITHIN THE OPERATING ROOM AND ICU AT TIMES. WE LIKE TO LAUGH AND HAVE FUN WHILE GETTING THE PATIENT CARE NEEDS COMPLETED.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the endoscopy unit, including pre-op and post-op management. Act as a procedure technician and circulator, handling instrument reprocessing and patient monitoring.
