This is a multi-site role requiring regular travel between locations. The nurse will play a critical role in administering and monitoring moderate sedation, ensuring patient safety throughout procedures, and supporting physicians and clinical teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Administer and monitor moderate sedation for interventional pain management procedures Perform IV insertion and manage IV therapies Conduct thorough pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessments Monitor patient vitals and recovery, identifying and responding to changes in condition Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Travel routinely between Epic locations across San Antonio to provide clinical support as scheduled Requirements Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a procedural, critical care, or acute care setting Preferred: Experience in peri-anesthesia, PACU, ER, ICU, interventional radiology, or GI lab Preferred: Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training program Licensure & Certifications Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligible) Required: BLS (AHA or ARC) at time of hire ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Preferred Certifications: CNOR (Surgery) CPAN (Post-Anesthesia) SGNA (GI Lab) Qualifications Strong IV and sedation-related clinical skills Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and patient monitoring abilities Clear, compassionate communication skills with patients and care teams Ability to adapt to multiple clinical environments while maintaining consistent standards of care
