Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term private duty assignments supporting a Cancer client throughout the Longview area. This role is perfect for compassionate nurses with strong clinical experience looking for immediate, short-term work — with the potential for future assignments through our agency. Assignment Location: Longview Pay Rate: $55/hour Assignment Type: Temporary (with potential for future shifts) Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one nursing care in a home setting Monitor recovery and manage care plan per physician’s orders Manage Tube Feedings (required) Document vitals and changes in client condition Communicate effectively with client, family, and care team Ensure client comfort and safety at all times · Perks and benefits Include: Biweekly pay via direct deposit Supportive and responsive office & clinical team 8 hour shifts 7 days a week Access to earned wages (pay advances) Referral bonuses MEC health insurance & employee assistance program (eligibility-based) Requirements REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Active RN license in Texas (Required) At least 2 years of post-op nursing experience in a hospital setting (Required) Experience with Tube feedings (required) CPR/BLS certification Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Able to work independently in a home care environment Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to lift 25+lbs SKILLS Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to get to know their patients, build personal rapport and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing patients’ enjoyment and comfort. Initiative so they can make independent decisions when required and accept direction and requests from patients. The ability to follow instructions but also act independently if necessary. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently. Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments. Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one nursing care in a home setting and monitor recovery while managing the care plan per physician’s orders. Ensure client comfort and safety at all times while documenting vitals and changes in client condition.
