The Queensland Health AME team provides for safe, timely and coordinated inter-facility transfer of patients to and between Queensland hospital facilities, facilitating equitable access to specialist medical treatment for people living in rural and remote Queensland. As part of the QHAME Service team, you will: provide inter-hospital emergency care on fixed wing aircraft build positive working relationships with the clinical team and key stakeholders participate in orientation and handover processes for new and relieving staff exhibit independence, flexibility, and initiative in a fast-paced environment To succeed in this role, you will need: minimum experience of 5 years in emergency, intensive, or critical care nursing minimum of 250 hours relevant clinical experience in Emergency Nursing in a Tertiary Hospital within the past 12 months postgraduate qualifications in either emergency, intensive care or critical care specialties evidence of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with practical components, Advanced Life Support (Level 2) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with accredited training organization strong teamwork and communication skills, especially in high-pressure environments previous experience as a flight nurse is desirable Australian work rights and relevant professional registration ability to undergo Aspen Medical’s credentialing process What we offer: 12% superannuation Paid travel We will cover the costs for your ASIC renewal We are currently seeking expressions of interest for casual employment, with the potential for longer-term opportunities.
