Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse you will deliver holistic care for residents that prioritises health, wellbeing, and community connection to support the changing needs of residents.

Your Contribution

  • Provide the highest standard of care for residents in accordance with the Aged Care Standards and Aged Care Act
  • Deliver comprehensive care and individual case management to residents according to the organisational clinical framework and care model.
  • Ensure effective delivery of the nursing process through the effective resident entry, assessment, care planning and delivery, evaluation and exit by recognised professional standards.
  • Lead and coordinate care staff to effectively deliver residents care, everyday activities, administration of medication and interventions that promote overall resident well-being and meaningful engagement.
  • Coach the care staff to enable them to deliver high quality care, develop skills and knowledge gaps.
  • Liaise with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic person-centered approach.
  • Build positive relationships with Residents, families, and other staff members.

The Essentials

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations and evidence based best practice relevant to aged care

  • Ability to lead a team of Care Staff
  • Clinical assessment skills and commitment to best practice. approaches to care delivery
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A current Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care (or willing to obtain) and evidence of three COVID vaccinations
