We have new transformative owners, for all those on board, its going to be a challenging and a rewarding journey and we are just getting started. www.nacmem.org Position Purpose: As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing and evaluating care. You will be responsible for directing, monitoring and evaluating the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team. Position Summary (not all inclusive) Perform and document patient assessments at the time of the admission. Create a plan of care, including discharging plans, revise the plans based ont eh patient's response to treatment and regularly evaluate plans for effectiveness. Document the outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses. Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments. Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy. Perform venipuncture, administer and maintain IV fluids and IV medications. Review all new physician orders, ensure orders are carried out and documented correctly, verify that other departments are notified of orders and services. Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Nurse Leader and to the oncoming shift to ensure continuity of care.
