POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support interventions. The ICU RN works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced community hospital setting. QUALIFICATIONS * Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice * Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred) * Minimum of 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred (new graduates may be considered with appropriate training) * Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association) * CCRN certification preferred or willingness to obtain SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical judgment skills * Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care * Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as required for extended periods * Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
