We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our Medical/Surgical Float Pool Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Recent clinical experience preferred.
  • NRP required or willingness to obtain
  • ENPC required or willingness to obtain
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior or equivalent preferred
  • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) preferred
  • Baby Friendly Initiative 20-hour breastfeeding course required or willingness to obtain
  • Recent Medical/Surgical and Pediatric experience preferred
  • Recent Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Experience preferred
  • LEAP training preferred
  • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Gerontology certification preferred
  • Recent experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms preferred
  • Current ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Completion of Coronary Care I & II or willingness to obtain
  • Competence in starting and maintaining IV’s
  • Experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry Preferred;
  • E.C.G. interpretation preferred
  • Required to work in multiple departments and external patient transfers
    Hiring Salary Range: $39.07 - $56.00
Responsibilities

The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within Medical/Surgical Float Pool Department.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis, according to the Practice Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and approved standards of care of the Corporation.
