About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part time basis (64 hours per fortnight) working various shifts across a 7-day roster. This position is in the surgical ward covering cases mixes across general surgery, urology, colorectal, gynaecological. Gold Coast Private Hospital is committed to continual growth, providing exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in healthcare As a Registered Nurse – Surgical your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence-based nursing care Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team Ensure patient and staff safety Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology Essential Criteria: · Authority to Work in Australia · Bachelor of Science (Nursing) · 1-2 years surgical experience (desirable) · Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA · Compliance with ACQSHC National standards · Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills · Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused · Experience in the care of one or more post-surgical specialties – neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, colorectal, gynaecology, plastics.
