Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on either a part time or full time basis.
We are a 32 bed, fast paced, high turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.

AS A REGISTERED NURSE YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide evidenced based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
