JOB TITLE: Staff RN, GI Lab REPORTS TO: Director, Surgical Services POSITION SUMMARY: Assesses, diagnoses, monitors, coordinates, and manages complex care of perioperative clients. Evaluates postoperative outcomes and plans for continuing recovery and rehabilitation. Performs all other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN preferred. Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting is preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a current California RN license and BLS required. ACLS within 90 days of hire or status change. PALS within 90 days of hire or status change. Moderate Sedation certificate or competency within 30 days of hire or status change. Basic Dysrhythmia certificate within 120 days of hire or status change.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse assesses, diagnoses, and manages complex care for perioperative patients within the GI Lab. They are also responsible for evaluating postoperative outcomes and planning for the patient's continued recovery and rehabilitation.
