Job Description: Excellent benefits including salary packaging Challenging and rewarding work environment Full time, fixed term position until June, 2027 About the Role The Home Therapy Unit provides assessment, training, education and ongoing support for patients undertaking both Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis at Home. An opportunity currently exists for Grade 2 Registered Nurses to join the Dialysis Home Therapies Team. As a Grade 2 Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of expert nursing care and support to patients undergoing Haemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis at home. A second Part time, fixed term, role will specifically review current assessment and training practices within the Home Therapies Unit and develop tools and KPI’s to effectively assist nursing staff. Classifications for this position will range from YU11 ($102,278.80 per annum) pro rata Duties Patient assessment. Patient and family Education and training Home visiting for training and Assessment Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings about patients’ status’ and progress Liaise with patients, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required Acts as a role model and provide support to junior staff in all clinical aspects Actively participate and contribute to all departmental quality improvements Qualifications, Skills and Experience Minimum 24 months previous experience in Renal Nursing and/or experience with Peritoneal Dialysis essential Minimum 12 months experience in Haemodialysis Experience in patient and staff education Proficiency in clinical nursing assessment skills Ability to work autonomously prioritise tasks and activities to foster good time management Operate within a “patient centred care” framework Facilitate team outcomes in a multidisciplinary environment Assist and support change and implement process improvements Communicate effectively, with patients and staff at all levels Computer Literacy- Microsoft word and dialysis user applications What we offer Salary Packaging – Increase your take home pay!
