About the role Mater Private Hospital has an exceptional opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Gynaecology, Urology and Plastics Surgical Ward. The successful candidate will be available to work a variety of shifts including night shifts and weekend work. This position will be offered in a permanent part-time 32 hours per week capacity, based at South Brisbane. Mater Private Hospital is a tertiary, acute facility built on a foundation of clinical excellence and a commitment to safe, compassionate care that is quality focused, technologically advanced, and customised to patients’ needs and lifestyle. With a total of 323 patient beds, 10 operating theatres, a 24 hour private emergency service and comprehensive ICU facilities. Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater] What you’ll be doing The Gynaecology, Urology and Plastics Surgical unit provides a high level of specialised care to patients, their families, and visitors, via a supportive team who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.  The team is supportive, approachable, patient-focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.  Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards, you will be responsible for achieving optimal patient outcomes, updating your knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth, implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management and providing support to the Nurse Manager. About you * Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) * Minimum of 1 year post grad experience working in an acute care surgical setting * Previous experience within the specialties of plastics, gynaecology and urology will be highly regarded * Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes * Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice Why join us?
