ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team at Liverpool, Bankstown, and Campbelltown as Haematology Clinical Research Nurses.
You will be based throughout these hospitals, depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with SWSLHD objectives and policies.
  • Practice nursing in accordance with legislation, standards, codes of conduct, and ethical guidelines.
  • Advocate for patients’ autonomy, rights, and privacy, involving them and their families in education about clinical trials, treatments, and management.
  • Interpret protocols, provide individualised trial schedules, monitor patient conditions, and maintain accurate trial data.
  • Offer expert consultancy to patients, carers, and families, supporting them throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of chemotherapy protocols and their application in clinical trials.
  • Perform pathology collection and treatment administration.
    An understanding of Haematology or Medical Oncology is beneficial, as is experience with chemotherapy administration, though training can be provided.
    Collaborate with clinical and research colleagues to integrate research into holistic nursing care, striving for high-quality clinical research to improve healthcare outcomes.
