Description
As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, the Registered Nurse coordinates, performs and evaluates interventional diagnostic radiology examinations and provides patient care to meet the clients and family needs with the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates in a teaching and research environment and functions independently with diverse & complex patient population and procedures in all area of Interventional Radiology. Rotation though all modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required. 1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse 2. Current BCLS registration 3. PACU and/or assessment component of the critical care course 4. Current PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) or willingness to certify if applying at a site which specializes in paediatric patients 5. Portocath and Central Line Access certified 6. Recent (within 2 years) experience in critical care or emergency room nursing 7. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills 8. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment 9. Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development 10. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment 11. 1 year of recent (within 2 years) experience in Procedural Room or Operating Room nursing. 12. Within 30 minutes for call to site.
