Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse House Float- PRN, Nights Status: PRN Shift: Third About The Unit: The House Float Pool consists of seasoned, experienced nurses who can work on any inpatient unit that is in need of additional staffing. The House Float department is also home to the house management staff who allocate staffing resources, provide guidance when issues present, and supervise the float staff. Job Summary: A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (neonatal to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care. Responsibilities: Assesses patient clinical status. Develops a plan of care. Implementation of the nursing plan of care. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the care plan. Communication and validation of patient care information. Requirements: Associate’s degree in nursing required. Active Kentucky RN License. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
