Responsibilities Oversees and supervises nursing and patient care activities to ensure high-quality care and patient safety Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge, including medication administration and treatment within scope of licensure Maintains professional communication and relationships with patients, families, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams Coordinates hospital operations by planning, organizing, and directing activities across all departments Responds to emergency situations, reallocating staff and resources to meet patient care needs Ensures appropriate staffing levels and addresses issues such as understaffing, absenteeism, and workflow challenges Provides leadership, coaching, and performance support to staff across departments Handles conflict resolution and problem-solving, escalating issues when necessary Acts as the hospital leader during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, modeling professionalism and accountability Maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, certifications, and organizational standards (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) Qualifications Education: Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification. Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Must possess and maintain current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification #RNpositionsQC *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
