Job Description: EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required Bachelor’ degree Preferred CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE RN - Registered Nurse of California - California Department of Consumer Affairs Required or RN-IP - Registered Nurse of California Interim Permit - California Department of Consumer Affairs Required BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Each employee must successfully complete the Department Specific Requirements: ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within six (6) months of start date). Interpretation of Basic Arrhythmia Test upon hire or within two (2) weeks of class. (Must attend within six (6) months of start date). Anti-Arrhythmic / Hemodynamic Drug Test upon hire or within two (2) weeks of class. (Must attend within six (6) months of start date). ONS Chemo / Biotherapy Class (within one (1) year of start date). ONS / ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course (within one (1) year of start date). EXPERIENCE Minimum of six (6) months area specific acute care experience within the last two (2) years Preferred SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills. Independently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever-changing environment. Good interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and teamwork skills are required.
