Responsibilities Medical Oncology Our unit blends general medical care with a specialized focus on oncology and neurology: Administer chemotherapy (certification required within first year) Care for stroke and seizure patients with 24-hour EEG monitoring Obtain NIHSS certification within six months Manage telemetry patients and complete rhythm interpretation trainingThis unit is ideal for nurses who want to grow in both technical and compassionate care. Surgical Ortho This unit focuses on pre-and post-op care for a wide range of surgical patients: Joint replacements (knee, hip) Abdominal, urology, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Also caring for general medical patients, this unit offers a rich learning environment for newer nurses and a collaborative culture for seasoned professionals. Cardiac Stepdown Join our intermediate care unit specializing in cardiac patients who require close monitoring. From managing dysrhythmias, CHF, and COPD to caring for post-procedural patients from the cath lab, this unit offers exposure to: Pacemaker and ICD implants Ablations, cardioversions, TEE TAVR, EVAR, peripheral angiograms Post-open heart recovery Equipped with full cardiac telemetry, this is the place to sharpen your cardiac care skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Acute Care – Bettendorf Join a dynamic team caring for patients across the surgical spectrum: Elective joint replacements, abdominal and thoracic procedures, mastectomies Cross-trained with our stepdown unit for seamless care transitionsNurses here manage patients with cardiac, neurologic, and respiratory conditions, perform neuro assessments, interpret rhythms, and manage cardiac drips. Qualifications Requirements: Diploma from an RN program. Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
