Department: Intensive Care Unit Daily Work Times: 7:00am - 7:30pm Shift: Days Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 48 Benefits: • 403(b) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Position Summary: The registered nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for monitored patients during their hospital stay including cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic stabilization, responsive to emergent situations and care of evidence-based medicine patients. The registered nurse ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Michigan Department of Public Health, the medical center and nursing department standards. Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care. The registered nurse participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment, maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality and respects patient’s rights. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions Provides professional nursing care directly to patients Administers medication to patients as directed Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License BLS certified ACLS within the first 6 months of hire TNCC within 1 year of hire Preferred: Previous work experience within the specific unit specialty or 2+ years acute care RN experience Previous completion of AACN ECCO modules Specialty certification within the specific unit
