Shift: Nights Weekly Scheduled Hours: 24 Weekend: Rotating License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Department Overview This is a 24-bed unit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flo and/or chronic long term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and much more.
