Shift: Nights Weekly Scheduled Hours: 24 Weekend: Rotating License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Department Overview This is a 24-bed unit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flo and/or chronic long term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and much more. Responsibilities

The primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, conducting rounding checks, administering medications, and communicating with family members. The nurse is responsible for the overall care of patients in the Step Down Unit.
