OVERVIEW

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care within our Naturopathic clinic. This position involves overseeing medical supply inventory; coordinating patient appointments; performing blood draws; preparing and shipping blood samples; and performing vitamin IV’s, iron infusions and injections. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare services. An interest in Naturopathic medicine is also an asset.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as Jane software.
  • Experience using direct billing an asset.
  • Strong background in patient care experience with a focus on IV treatments.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, patients of all ages are seen at the clinic.
  • Familiarity with phlebotomy procedures and medication administration protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus for this role. Once drawing samples you will have to centrifuge blood vials and prepare for shipment the next day. You may also handle stool, hair and saliva samples preparing for shipments (collection for these is done in the patient’s home).

    Pay: $34.00-$37.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage patient appointments during your shift.
  • Collaborate with Naturopathic physicians, a medical doctor and office staff to implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients’ health status prior to receiving their treatment in office.
  • Administer medications such as IV iron, and treatments such as vitamin IV therapy, as prescribed by the physician.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment given.
  • Perform weekly orders for medical, IV and injectable supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards and laboratory procedures when applicable.
