Description PRN (as needed) The Infusion/Treatment Registered Nurse will operate an infusion/treatment room(s) to administer on an outpatient basis infusion and treatment therapies and monitor and record results for physicians. This position will also coordinate services with the lab and other entities participating in patients’ care. Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list): Receives patients, explains procedures, checks vital signs and administers therapy, monitors for reactions, and reports to the Endoscopy charge nurse and physicians Deals with emergency situations (with the hospitalist or anesthesia) if required Perform various infusions as required by physicians orders (i.e. blood transfusions, IVIG/Privigen, Reclast, IV antiobiotics, etc.) Requirements Qualifications Graduate of accredited school of nursing Current NC RN license or compact state Current BLS and ACLS certification At least 1 year of clinical infusion/treatment experience preferred Necessary Skills Possess analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Organizational skills Reassuring manner to deal with patients of all ages Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer Prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
