Job Details Job Location: Scottsdale Surgical - Scottsdale, AZ Salary Range: $42.00 - $48.00 Hourly Description Registered Nurse – Pre-Op / OR Circulator / PACU (Plastic Surgery) Athenix Advanced Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center is seeking an experienced perioperative Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery facility. Nurse Duties/Responsibilities: Pre-Op: Check in patients, start IVs, obtain vitals, review medical history, ensure consents/labs/clearances are complete, provide education, and assist with pre-op photos and garment fittings. OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare the sterile field when needed, support anesthesia, manage documentation, and coordinate communication with caregivers during procedures. PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post-operatively, manage airways and pain/nausea needs, perform dressing changes, and provide thorough post-op instructions. Clinic Support: Perform follow-up visits (drains, sutures, incision care), assist with prescriptions, conduct point-of-care testing (pregnancy, nicotine/drug, glucose), and maintain accurate charting. Team & Safety: Uphold infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, support emergencies calmly and effectively (CPR, AED, crash cart), and contribute to a clean, safe clinical environment. Qualifications Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain upon hire) OR/Surgical experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred Excellent communication skills—able to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet the needs of the surgical schedule
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will support all phases of the surgical experience, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Responsibilities include patient check-in, circulating during surgeries, and monitoring recovery in the PACU.
