Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team (1 Part-Time for the NIGHT shift). As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients across various healthcare settings. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and preventive care
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Adhere to all nursing standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to Unregulated Healthcare Providers
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care home setting
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, and senior care
- Ability to perform basic medical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Complete Immunization record including a minimum of 2 doses of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine.
