    Due to recent expansion, Knox Private Hospital has opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our busy Miller Cardiac unit on a permanent, full time or part time basis. RNs working in this unit benefit from a focus on CPD which includes ward-based educational in-services.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Proactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies
  • Look after a variety of cardiac patients (heart failure, chest pain, arrhythmias)
  • Look after patients pre and post cath lab (coronary angiograms, PPM)
  • Prepare patients for CABGs/Valve surgeries
