Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Location: Fullerton, CA Job Type (Per Diem/Travel Contract): Per Diem Hourly Pay Rate: $69.52/hr Shift: Night Experience Required: 2 years minimum RN L&D experience License Required: CA RN Certifications Required: BLS Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for obstetrical patients. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery. Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Perform obstetrical triage and comprehensive patient assessments. Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency obstetrical interventions. Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and neonatal resuscitation situations. Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU staff, lactation consultants, and case management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assess and implement individualized nursing care for obstetrical patients while monitoring maternal and fetal well-being. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage deliveries, emergencies, and postpartum recovery.
