Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHADS) delivers a range of mental health and wellbeing services across inpatient, outpatient and community settings throughout the ACT, including Adult Acute and Community Mental Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services, Justice Health Services, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. This position is primarily based within Adult Community Mental Health Services – Community Recovery Services (CRS), with teams located in Gungahlin, Belconnen, City, Woden and Tuggeranong. Staff may be required to work across other areas of Adult Community Mental Health Services to meet operational needs. CRS operates across the ACT in line with the Adult Community Mental Health Model of Care and is a multidisciplinary service comprising nursing, allied health, psychiatry and administrative staff. CRS provides recovery‑focused, strengths‑based case management for adults experiencing complex mental illness or psychological distress associated with significant functional impairment, risk, or the need for medium to longer‑term multidisciplinary care. Consumers may be subject to the Mental Health Act 2015 and require regular engagement to support stability, reduce hospital admissions and improve community functioning. The successful applicant will manage a caseload with support from an allocated psychiatrist and the multidisciplinary team, delivering face‑to‑face care over sustained periods. The role involves working collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes. At this level, the successful applicant will contribute to team processes, undertake professional development and supervision, supervise junior staff and students, participate in quality activities, and complete Clozapine training to support the team’s Clozapine Clinic.
