The Gastroenterology & Hepatology Unit (GEHU), based at The Canberra Hospital, is a busy, highly specialised service providing comprehensive endoscopic care for both inpatients and outpatients. The unit delivers a broad range of procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP and anorectal manometry, alongside specialist outpatient clinics for inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, pancreatobiliary and general gastrointestinal conditions. With over 20,000 occasions of service and approximately 6,000 procedures each year, GEHU offers an engaging, fast‑paced environment at the forefront of gastroenterology and hepatology care.
