Then this is the role for you! Seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join the Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Service at Dhulwa Mental Health Unit (DMHU), where you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals who are in contact with, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system. DMHU provides a specialised service comprising 10 assessment and stabilisation beds and 15 rehabilitation beds, and operates within Mental Health, Justice Health, Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHDAS), Forensic Division. In this role, you will work under the limited supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing to provide advanced nursing care to people experiencing a range of mental illnesses across different stages of recovery, while also supporting and guiding RN1 and RN2 staff. You will be expected to actively engage in professional development, clinical supervision, and quality improvement initiatives, and to contribute meaningfully to multidisciplinary team processes to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care. The position also plays a key role in driving innovation and contributing to the development of contemporary models of care to enhance service delivery. While based within the Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Service, you may be required to work across all Adult Mental Health Inpatient Units to support operational requirements, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for a clinician committed to leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement in forensic mental health care.
