Description
The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of specialized knowledge and skills in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This includes the assessment, care planning, and direct care of patients before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Serves as an educator for breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment options. Coordinates patient appointments and delivery of procedure results, as directed by the Radiologist. Performs clinical breast examinations and post-biopsy visual examinations as requested.
