JOB SUMMARY:

The Home Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of the nursing home facility. This includes overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing staff, and maintaining effective communication with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Quality of Care:
  • Ensure that all residents receive person-centered care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
  • Monitor the quality of care through regular assessments, audits, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of life for residents, promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing the operation of nursing homes, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for cost-saving or revenue generation, and take appropriate action to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Communication and Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with residents, their families, staff members, and external partners.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote positive relationships.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff members by implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, emergency drills, and incident investigations as necessary.
