We are seeking a driven and highly skilled manager with a nursing background and a proven track record in achieving high CQC ratings, who will be dedicated to improving the running of our homes,
Our Service provides a homely and safe environment, offering; specialist transitional therapeutic and rehabilitative residential placements, good links with the community facilities, and a focus on social integration within a continued risk assessment/management framework for young people and young adults with complex and challenging presentation in the context of mental health problems and neurodevelopmental disorders from the age of 16 up to 25 years.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We always pledge to do our upmost to ensure all of our residents and staff feel safe, secure and well cared for. We consider ourselves to be an extended family to our residents. The ideal applicant should have or be working towards NVQ Level 5 and have considerable experience of running and managing a residential care home, minimum 2+ years. Successful candidates will be working in a challenging and complex environment as such we go to great lengths to provide support for our colleagues and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the care of staff, residents and effectively communicating with Operations Manager and external stakeholders.
  • Dedicated to improving the running of the home and maintaining or improving CQC ratings.
  • Responsible for achieving agreed objectives, maintaining standards and adhering to set policies and procedures.
  • Monitor all duty rotas and the internal rotation of staff ensuring that they are managed within the allocated manpower and skill mix.
  • Assist in staff training including inductions and deliver training sessions where appropriate.
  • Monitoring services provided to the Home and addressing any shortfalls.
  • Responsible for the coordination of effective liaison with the Multi-Disciplinary Team regarding reviews, referrals and assessments of residents and the planning of admissions
