Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a hospital in Metairie, LA. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for a diverse patient caseload with acute and chronic medical conditions or recovering from surgical procedures. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately, while monitoring for patient response and potential complications. Perform systematic patient assessments, document changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure timely intervention. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, post-discharge care, medications, and strategies for managing health after leaving the hospital. Prioritize and delegate tasks efficiently to support staff (e.g., LPNs, CNAs) to ensure all patient care needs are met in a timely manner. Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of LA and current BLS Certification. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of RN work experience.
