Our patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients with varied medical diagnoses including complications from diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, encephalopathy, and remote telemetry. We also care for renal and urology surgery patients including those who have had a nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and those with continuous bladder irrigation (CBI). Any patients admitted to the hospital who require peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments, have PD care managed by a trained 14AB nurse.
