The Trauma and Violence Specialized Primary Care Program is an innovative initiative offering comprehensive trauma -and-violence-informed care to individuals impacted by interpersonal, structural, and systemic violence. The program is grounded in equity-oriented, person-centered principles and places a particular focus on supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). This integrated model brings together primary care, mental health, and social supports to improve access and outcomes for clients who often experience barriers in traditional health care settings. The program is committed to ongoing research, evaluation, and quality improvement to ensure services remain responsive, evidence-based, and rooted in community need.
St. Joseph’s Health Care London’s Trauma and Violence Specialized Primary Care Program is seeking a dedicated and skilled Primary Care Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in the interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care to clients impacted by trauma, including gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, and systemic inequities. Your expertise and empathy will help foster a safe and supportive environment for patients with diverse and often complex medical and emotional challenges. The RN will contribute to the development and delivery of care plans, support research and evaluation activities, and actively participate in quality improvement and program development opportunities.
