About the Role:We are seeking a Remote Area Nurse for a locum placement at a remote primary health centre in Willowra, NT, in Central Australia. The contract runs from 14 December 2026 to 8 January 2027. You will deliver community-based healthcare across acute presentations, chronic disease management, preventative health, child and family health, immunisation and emergency care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, with referral and retrieval pathways available when patients need higher-level services.

• Provide comprehensive primary health care to a remote community, including acute and emergency presentations
• Assess, triage and manage patients independently, escalating through referral and retrieval pathways when required
• Deliver chronic disease management, preventative health and immunisation services
• Support child and family health programs
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary remote health team
• Deliver culturally appropriate, community-focused care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous remote area nursing experience (preferred)
• Emergency and triage experience
• Confident working autonomously and as part of a small multidisciplinary team
• Culturally respectful approach to working in remote Aboriginal communities
• Valid driver's licence
• Available for the full contract period
• Eligible to work in Australia
